So I built this, to replace my current coffee table, it has space inside it to store game boxes etc. Made from MDF and painted with a variety of oil based and acrylic paints.

Japy Freres Gothic Brass TableClock. ~ French – Circa 1870 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully working, ready to display ~~ A superb Brass cased table clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is architecturally styled in a light Gothic taste, profusely fretted to the front an sides which allows the pendulum to be seen swinging within the case. The back door is glazed with bevelled glass to allow the movement to be seen. The dial is heavily molded in brass and mounted with 12 individual shield cartouches for the letters. The dial surround has an unusual rope design and the original hands are fretted blued steel. Below the dial is a goddess mask. The movement has the Japy Freres ‘Grande Medaille d’Honneur’ mark on the movement backplate and is of the clock makers usual high quality. Our clockmaker has completely disassembled the movement, cleaned and inspected it, replaced the springs and the pendulum and thoroughly tested it to ensure years of trouble free running. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running! Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear / discolouration on the high spots. www.Dragon-Antiques.com Antique French Table Clock by Samuel Marti ~French – Circa 1880 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully working ~~ A beautiful antique French brass table clock of good size, classical in design, it is square in shape with roundels to the sides. These feature Mithras, the sun-god, who conquers all demons of darkness within a sun burst. A cushion shaped dome top features an urn to the top and mythical creatures to the four corners. The dial is enamel on copper with a fretted brass centre which is unusual in having a blue enamel background. It is complete with the original blued steel hands and bevelled glass bezel. The clock is modelled all round, ideal for displaying on a table. The French movement is by Samuel Marti, it is of excellent quality and has the clockmakers mark on the movement backplate. It has the superior pin-pallet escapement and rack striking. It runs for 8 days, strikes the hours and half hours on a sonorous coiled gong.
